Permissions
This page explains the Google and YouTube OAuth scopes Growati requests when you connect your account, and what each one is used for. We aim to request only the scopes needed to power the features available to you. For more on how we handle access generally, see Policy & Safety and Security.
YouTube Read Access
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly
Provides read-only access to your YouTube account, channel, and video data. This is required by the YouTube Analytics Reports API for performance-related features.
YouTube Management
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl
This is YouTube's full management scope. It allows Growati to read and update your channel and video data over SSL, including video metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, chapters, tags) and playlists.
Growati uses this scope to power: thumbnail generation, title and description generation, chapter generation, metadata optimization, and playlist management. We do not use this scope to modify comments, subscriptions, or other channel settings outside these features.
Video Uploads
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload
Allows Growati to upload videos to your channel on your behalf, where you have enabled upload or publishing automation features.
YouTube Analytics (Read-Only)
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly
Lets us read video and channel performance data (views, watch time, engagement) to power performance analysis features.
Revenue Analytics (Read-Only)
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics-monetary.readonly
Lets us read revenue-related performance data (estimated earnings, ad performance) to power revenue-focused analytics features. This is a restricted scope under Google's API policies and is subject to additional verification by Google.
Google Identity
openid, email, profile
Used to sign you in and display basic account information (name, email, profile picture) within Growati.
Notes
- Scopes may be added or removed as Growati evolves. We will keep this page up to date, and any new scope requests for new features will require your renewed authorization.
- You can review and revoke Growati's access at any time from your Google Account's connected apps section. Revoking access stops all future API calls Growati can make on your behalf.
